Sally is deeply connected to the natural world. Nature has always been a place she is drawn to; it is a place of fun, adventure, discovery and escape. She loves finding a quiet spot under the shade of a tree to read books, enjoys camping at Byfield, exploring creeks, and mountain bike riding with her partner. As a mother to two beautiful teenagers, Sally knows too well that time passes quickly. Childhood is such an important season that should not be rushed. She believes children need to spend their childhood playing, exploring and forming a strong sense of belonging within their community. As an early-childhood educator with twenty years’ experience, Sally is passionate about whole child development and care. Sally sees her role here as providing a safe and supportive environment for both parents and children. She believes children need to play without interruption, explore their own creativity and follow through with their ideas to build confidence. Children need unstructured time in nature to take risks, problem solve and build self-awareness and trust.
Sally is kind, warm-natured and welcoming. She designs and coordinates our beautiful Playgrow (stay and play) offering and our Learning on Country programs!

Codey | Nature Playworker and Digital Content Creator
Bachelor of Education (Early Chilhood)
First Aid in an Education Setting, CPR, Anaphylaxis, Asthma
Codey has wonderful memories visiting her grandparents 50-acre farm in NSW. As a child she enjoyed solo hiking expeditions to the top of their hill and being surrounded by nature and enjoyed peace and quiet. This would always give Codey new perspectives on life and helped her to reconnect to herself. Growing up in WA, Codey loved the annual wood chopping in the Kalgoorlie bush. She appreciated the freedom she was given here; and found herself wandering off to find trees to climb and create secret cubby houses out of fallen branches.
With an Early Years Teaching Degree, Codey recognises the necessity of play. She is passionate about instilling good foundations, a love of learning in all children and works towards removing barriers to children’s play.
Codey believes children are born with wonder, curiosity and a desire to learn. They are always learning and discovering new things and as such, sees learning as a way of life. All children learn differently and need time to experiment, trial, question and practice .As a Homeschooling mother of two, Codey believes fostering a child’s emotional and spiritual health is key in raising wholesome, happy children. She wants to give her children a childhood, and enjoy the adventures alongside them!
